I’ll be honest the first time I heard this song was on Sushant Singh Rajput’s(May his soul rest in peace) twitter handle. When he passed away I was browsing through his Insta photos and once again came across this song. I was a fan and losing Sushant was a personal setback for me as he committed suicide; the grief was immense. Listening to the words (which I don’t understand much as it is Sanskrit) and music brought a sense of calmness in me.
Since then I’ve read up about Shiva Tandava Stotram which is a Sanskrit hymn that describes Lord Shiva’s power and beauty. The stotra is sung by Ravana the king of Lanka, who is considered to be the greatest devotee of Shiva.
